Research Project: Airborne nanoplastics: surface chemistry and cloud-crystallisation properties
Supervisors:
Christoph Salzmann (UCL), Milo Shaffer (ICL)

Georgia graduated from University College London with an MSci in Natural Sciences (Physical Chemistry and Geophysics). Her PhD project is concerned with the surface chemistry and ice nucleation properties of airborne particles, with a focus on micro and sub-micro sized plastics. The presence of these particles in the atmosphere could potentially influence the formation of clouds and their radiative properties, contributing to the current climate change crisis.  She is supervised by Professor Christoph Salzmann (University College London) and Professor Milo Shaffer (Imperial College London).
