Biography

Research Project: Novel Chiroptical Imaging of Optoelectronic materials

Louis graduated from the University of Oxford in 2021 with an MChem in Chemistry. During his master’s project in Michael Burt’s group, he worked on Coulomb explosion imaging, a technique used to study gas-phase photochemistry. His PhD project is a collaboration with the Diamond Light Source and focuses on developing new ways to measure the interaction of chiral materials with circularly polarised light.
