Biography

James is the co-director of the Materials and Manufacturing Academy (M2A (www.m2a.wales)) at Swansea University that includes the COATED EPSRC CDT in Functional Industrial Coatings. His research focusses on the development of new metallic coatings and inhibitors for corrosion protection of materials and he has developed innovative techniques to image corrosion at a microstructural level in situ.
